My name is Mrs. Gallagher and this is my twelfth year teaching 7th grade math. Before coming
to Lakeville, I taught at a private school in Taunton. I live in Lakeville with my husband, Jim, and two dogs, Max and
Chewie (after Chewbacca!). We also have two cats named Rocky and Bo Jangles.
We have three sons, who have all attended the Freetown-Lakeville schools. My oldest son,
John, lives in Mansfield with his wife, Rachael, whom he met while studying in Scotland. Before going to Scotland, he went
to Boston College, so I am an Eagles fan. Our middle son, Jim, also graduated from BC. He then spent a year and a half in
Australia and then three months in Ireland. He also came home with a wife, Lin, from Australia. They now live in Easton.Peter
is our youngest and is a senior at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. My husband, also Jim, is currently selling
real estate in Brockton.
I received my BA in Chemistry from Emmanuel College in Boston and a Masters
in Education from Bridgewater College. I also received a certificate in Teaching Math from Bridgewater College.
In my free time, I love to travel. I also love to read, walk and go to the beach. I also
like to ski, rollerblade, bike and play games.
My goal for teaching this year is to get rid of math phobia for at least some of my students!
